John Dabney is a partner in the firm’s intellectual property group, who represents companies throughout the United States in trademark, copyright, false advertising, and unfair competition litigation. John has served as lead counsel in more than 100 federal court actions and in many cases before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. He consistently has been ranked as a top trademark litigator in the country by The Best Lawyers in America®, The Legal 500, and World Trademark Review. Chuck Hauff is one of the founders of the firm’s intellectual property group, and practices in all aspects of IP including, litigation, prosecution, licensing, and other business transactions. He has technical experience in, among other fields, chemical, biotechnical, mechanical, electromechanical, computer software, medical products, acoustics, and life sciences disciplines. Chuck has handled a variety of litigation matters for clients of varying sizes both in the United States and abroad. Grant Langton is a partner in the intellectual property group and serves as chair of the intellectual property group in the Los Angeles office, and co-chair of the intellectual property group in the California offices. With over 30 years of experience counseling clients on intellectual property matters – including handling U.S. and Foreign patent prosecution, trademark prosecution, enforcement, and licensing – Grant is a trusted IP advisor working with Fortune 100 and 500 companies to strategically develop, protect, maintain, and exploit intellectual property assets both domestically and abroad. He routinely acts as counsel for businesses that do not have in-house patent counsel, reporting directly to general counsel, company boards, executive officers, and business owners regarding intellectual property matters.
Howard Sobelman is a senior intellectual property partner and certified licensing professional, with over 30 years of experience advising clients on their intellectual property law matters. He is co-chair of the firmwide intellectual property practice. Howard’s practice is concentrated in patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, licensing, and due diligence.
