A common observation from in-house attorneys is that, unlike those in private practice, many lack the luxury of being able to focus on a specific area of law. Rather, they are often expected to understand and provide legal advice on a myriad of complex topics that differ from their ordinary practice.
This program, requested by in-house attorneys, provides regular practice updates on a number of niche areas and is presented from the perspective of both an in-house attorney and a Snell & Wilmer attorney working in the featured practice area(s). From the nuts and bolts of patents, to a succinct overview of new tax laws, to responding to the inevitable employment dispute, we will provide additional tools needed to operate in a demanding in-house role. These one-hour breakfast sessions, hosted by Chris Colyer, are complimentary to attend and qualify for CLE credit.
Please join us for the next program in this series: Employment Law Update. During this program, you will hear from Snell & Wilmer attorney Jennifer Yee, along with Ashley Kasarjian of Republic Services and Michael Walker of Insight, as they discuss this important subject.
Topics for this event include:
~How to avoid common mistakes under wage and hour laws
~Common FMLA and ADA issues impacting employers today
~Sexual harassment training and good practices in light of the #MeToo movement
