Snell & Wilmer Launches Mexico City Office with New Attorney Group

New attorneys bring depth across the firm’s Corporate/M&A, Real Estate, and Labor & Employment teams

MEXICO CITY – Snell & Wilmer today announced it has opened a Mexico City office with the arrival of a new team of attorneys. The launch builds on Snell & Wilmer’s longstanding work for businesses and investors operating in Mexico and marks the firm’s second office in the country following the opening of its Los Cabos office in 2008.

Partners José I. Rivero, Jacinto Ávalos, Alfredo Chávez, and Luis Enrique Cervantes join alongside a group of associates, bringing significant experience advising on corporate finance, M&A, real estate, and labor and employment matters.

Rivero, a Chambers-ranked practitioner with more than 20 years of experience, will serve as the office’s managing partner. He advises domestic and foreign organizations on M&A, joint ventures, private equity, banking and finance, and capital markets across industries.  

Ávalos advises on M&A, private equity, financing, and capital markets matters and is recognized in Chambers’ FinTech Legal category, and Chambers’ Latin America in Banking & Finance, and Corporate/M&A; Chávez is a Chambers-ranked real estate practitioner who counsels on investment and project development matters; and Cervantes brings more than two decades of experience advising employers on labor, benefits, and compliance issues.
