Our Practice
On May 25, 2018, the European Union (EU) enacted the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This law requires companies doing business in the EU to keep clear and accurate records of how they collect, analyze, store and delete the data they obtain. It also addresses the transfer of personal data outside of the EU.
Snell & Wilmer’s attorneys understand the intricacies of the GDPR and the requirements for companies doing business in the EU. The first step our team takes to assist our clients is reviewing their current privacy and data protection practices, policies and procedures in order to identify possible compliance and best practices problems. Our attorneys then create a strategy to enhance these practices in order to comply with the GDPR.
