Roz Sutton is a real estate attorney in Snell & Wilmer’s San Diego office. Her practice is focused on representing developers, private equity funds and financial institutions on both the equity and debt sides of real estate transactions. Roz has experience advising clients on matters involving the acquisition, sale, development, financing and construction of large commercial properties and projects. She also has extensive experience advising financial institutions, as well as non-bank lenders on the origination and restructuring of commercial real estate mortgage and mezzanine loans.
Advised a non-bank lender on a matter involving the mortgage and mezzanine financing of a mixed-use student housing property benefiting from the Federal Historic Preservation Tax Incentives Program
Represented a non-bank lender in the mortgage and mezzanine financing of a nine-property multifamily portfolio which was subject to New York rent regulation laws
Represented a developer in the turnkey acquisition of a dual flag hotel in New York City
Counseled a lender on a matter involving the mezzanine financing of a 21-property medical office portfolio
Advised a technology company in the negotiation of a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) Agreement on a matter involving the ground-up construction of a state-of-the-art office complex valued at over $150 million dollars
