Joshua E. Summers

Joshua E. Summers is counsel in the firm’s Corporate and Securities Practice Group. He has experience advising private and public clients in M&A transactions, securities offerings, corporate governance, and other commercial transactions with a focus on practical, business-oriented legal guidance.

His practice includes advising on mergers and acquisitions, corporate structuring, private equity and venture capital financings, note financings, and commercial agreements, including distribution, licensing, and services agreements. He has experience drafting and negotiating merger agreements, purchase agreements, and numerous other commercial and ancillary agreements, as well as experience with corporate governance matters and transaction due diligence.

Joshua earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of San Diego School of Law, where he was a member of the San Diego Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif. He earned his B.S., magna cum laude, from San Diego State University.
