Biography
Jason Brinkley is a seasoned attorney with deep-rooted ties to Colorado’s land and legal heritage. His extensive experience is an asset to his transactional practice, where he assists clients in real estate, energy, and mining sectors.
As a fourth-generation Coloradan, Jason possesses a unique understanding of the intricate business and legal landscapes his clients traverse daily. He places a strong emphasis on maintaining an ongoing dialogue with the businesses he advises, enabling him to gain profound insights into their industries, goals, and challenges in Colorado and throughout the west. This approach allows him to deliver tailored solutions that align with their objectives and visions moving forward.
Jason’s career trajectory began with a strong focus on real estate, a foundation that continues to define his practice today including single family home builders, multi-family, industrial, and senior living facilities. In addition to real estate, he provides guidance to clients in diverse sectors, including oil and gas large-scale infrastructure projects, agriculture, renewable energy, mining , airlines, and ski resorts. Currently, Jason serves as the chair of the firm’s Natural Resources Group, further solidifying his experience in this field.

Representative Experience
- Represents public and private homebuilders in the acquisition and development of master-planned communities and residential subdivisions in Colorado
- Represents and advises clients on the acquisition of terminal sites, easement tracts, pump station sites, and valve sites, as well as obtaining necessary permits from state and local governments throughout the Rocky Mountain region relating to intrastate and interstate natural gas liquids and crude oil pipelines
- Represents and advises clients on the acquisition, disposition, and financing of multi-family, commercial and agricultural properties
- Represents public and private homebuilders in various merger and asset acquisition transactions
- Represents public mining client in complex joint venture to develop and operate international mine
