Carrie Schaffer is an experienced attorney whose multidisciplinary practice spans commercial real estate, government procurement, higher education, and regulatory compliance. She brings a practical, business-focused approach to helping clients navigate complex legal and regulatory frameworks. Carrie’s work reflects her ability to advise at the intersection of law, policy, and business, ensuring compliance while supporting her clients’ strategic and operational goals.
In her real estate practice, Carrie represents buyers, sellers, landlords, tenants, and developers in transactions involving office, retail, industrial, mixed-use, and development properties. Her experience includes negotiating and drafting purchase and sale agreements, leases, and financing arrangements, as well as conducting due diligence on title, mineral, zoning, and land use issues. She has extensive experience advising on entitlement matters and homeowner association laws, and has counseled major corporations on real estate and service contracts. Carrie’s background enables her to integrate compliance and regulatory considerations into complex property transactions.
Carrie also advises clients in highly regulated industries, including government contracting, cannabis, higher education, healthcare, insurance, and financial services. She counsels contractors and government entities on procurement and compliance matters under the FAR and DFARS, assists educational institutions with Title IX, FERPA, and licensing requirements, and supports clients through regulatory filings, agency inquiries, and license applications. Her work includes developing governance frameworks and internal compliance programs that reduce risk and promote sustainable business practices.
