Ashley McLachlan is an associate in the firm’s labor and employment law group, located in Orange County, California. Ashley focuses her practice on employment litigation and employment related advice and counsel.
Ashley provides advice and counsel to employers on various personnel matters including wage and hour issues, discrimination/harassment prevention, and employee leaves of absences. Ashley has assisted businesses of varying sizes develop employee handbooks, severance agreements, employment contracts, offer letters, confidentiality agreements, and tailored personnel policies.
Ashley has experience assisting clients navigate through employment-related pre-litigation disputes and demands, and active litigation. Her litigation practice focuses on representing employers in state and federal court and arbitration, defending against claims of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, failure to accommodate disabilities, medical leave claims, and other employment claims arising under federal and California law, including California’s Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA). Ashley defends employers in wage and hour actions (individual, PAGA, and class action). She has assisted in representing employers in disputes brought by state and federal agencies, including the California Civil Rights Department (CRD), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and the California Labor Commissioner (DLSE).
Ashley also advises businesses on federal and state public accommodation access laws including the Americans with Disabilities Act (Title III), California Unruh Civil Rights Act, and California’s Disabled Persons Act.
