Two Snell & Wilmer Attorneys Selected As Finalists in San Diego Business Journal’s 40 Next Top Business Leaders Under 40

SAN DIEGO (July 5, 2023) – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Bardia Moayedi and Sarah Hibbard have been selected as finalists in San Diego Business Journal’s 40 Next Top Business Leaders Under 40 2023. According to the publication, this list honors young professionals – leaders, change makers and innovators – who are making waves, creating impact, and leaving a positive mark on the San Diego community.

Moayedi is a corporate and securities partner, chair of the firm’s Technology Industry Group and co-chair of the firm's Life Sciences Industry Group. He primarily advises emerging growth and public companies throughout their life cycles as well as venture capital and private equity firms, particularly in the life sciences, high-technology, financial technology, food and beverage, and clean-technology industries. Moayedi has significant experience representing companies and financial firms in a broad range of general corporate governance and transactional matters. He is a trusted advisor, often serving as the go-to outside counsel or lead counsel to his clients. Moayedi has served for many years on the Board of Advisors for San Diego State University’s ZIP Incubator, which supports and fosters entrepreneurship and small businesses in San Diego. He is a trusted Advisor to the University of California, Irvine’s Cove @ Beall Applied Innovation Incubator and the University of California, Hastings College of Law’s Start-Up Legal Garage. Moayedi received his J.D. from University of San Diego School of Law, and his B.A. from University of California, Los Angeles.

Hibbard is a Snell & Wilmer corporate attorney and former in-house general counsel for a San Diego-based biotechnology company operating in the oncology space. She counsels life sciences and technology companies from formation through growth and exit, serving as a strategic advisor in the journey from research and development to commercial success. Hibbard draws on stealth start-up to multibillion-dollar company insights to serve clients, blending legal strategy, and planning with practical solutions. As a deal-maker, she represented companies on financings, licensing and tech transfers; collaborations; sponsored research and clinical research; and commercial transactions, as well as mergers and acquisitions. Hibbard is an active member of the University of California, Hastings College of Law’s Start-Up Legal Garage and serves as the current co-vice chair for Women in Bio. She received her J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and her B.S. from San Diego State University.
