Snell & Wilmer Partners Patricia Brum and Rose B. Sorensen Selected by Los Angeles Business Journal As 2023 Women’s Leadership Award Nominees

LOS ANGELES (June 26, 2023) – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Los Angeles Partners Patricia Brum and Rose B. Sorensen have been selected as nominees for Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2023 Women’s Leadership Awards. Brum was nominated in the category for Community Impact Advocate and Woman to Watch, and Sorensen was nominated in the category for Champion of Women and Woman to Watch. Brum and Sorensen will be honored, along with other award nominees, at the Los Angeles Business Journal Women’s Leadership Symposium & Awards 2023 on June 28. The event will honor women of outstanding achievement in the business community throughout the Los Angeles area.

Brum, a Brazilian native, is a business litigator with extensive experience in representing companies (both large and small) in cross-border disputes and consumer class action matters. She draws upon her diverse and multi-cultural background to strategically help clients. Brum is a strong advocate for the advancement of women attorneys in the legal profession and was recognized for her mentorship of women attorneys when she received Snell & Wilmer’s Mentor Award in 2021. She is also a prominent leader in her community. Through her work in several non-profit organizations, Brum advocates for LGBTQ+ rights and art education for children in underserved communities. She received her J.D. from Southwestern Law School, her MBA from University of Southern California, and her B.A. from University of Brasilia.

Sorensen is a partner in the firm's corporate and securities group whose practice includes mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, commercial finance, private placements, venture capital, corporate governance, telecommunications services, joint ventures, licensing, and entity structure and formation. She has extensive experience helping clients navigate through intricate business issues in a variety of industries. Sorensen has created and grown a thriving practice in a traditionally male-dominated industry, taking pride in her ability to accomplish the goals set even when she may be the only woman in the room. She recognizes the unique perspective she brings as a professional woman operating in the middle market and often utilizes it to promote and connect other women and professionals in M&A. Sorensen received her J.D. from Loyola Law School, her MBA from Loyola Marymount University, and her B.S. from University of California, Berkeley.
