Two Snell & Wilmer Attorneys Recognized as Top Pro Bono Attorneys by the Arizona Bar Foundation
PHOENIX – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that attorneys Ryan P. Hogan and Jessica Van Ranken were selected as 2025 recipients of the Top 50 Pro Bono Attorney Awards by the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services & Education. Top 50 Pro Bono awardees, who are nominated by the Foundation’s approved legal service entities and are honored for the numerous hours they have dedicated to helping provide access to justice, were recently recognized at the Foundation’s annual luncheon on June 24th.
The Arizona Foundation for Legal Services & Education, also known as the Arizona Bar Foundation, is an organization created by the State Bar of Arizona to promote access to justice for all Arizonans, by preparing Arizona youth for civic responsibility and providing access to justice for Arizonans most in need.
Snell & Wilmer Phoenix Partner Joseph Adams, who also serves as Vice President on the Foundation’s Board of Directors, shared, “We are proud to continue our firm’s tradition of supporting the Arizona Bar Foundation and its work to expand access to justice across Arizona. As a Board member, I have witnessed the dedication of the Foundation’s staff and volunteers serving our communities. Ryan Hogan is a member of the firm’s special litigation and compliance group. He focuses his practice on insurance coverage, election and political law, state and federal constitutional issues, and commercial litigation, representing governmental entities, businesses, and individuals in both state and federal courts. He has experience litigating coverage disputes and bad-faith claims, as well as in drafting Damron/Morris agreements. Hogan’s litigation experience also extends to appeals, including briefing before the Arizona Court of Appeals, the Arizona Supreme Court, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Jessica Van Ranken’s practice is concentrated in employment law, employment litigation, and immigration law. She counsels clients on compliance with state and federal employment laws, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Arizona Civil Rights Act (ACRA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and paid sick time law compliance. Van Ranken currently serves on the Young Professionals Board of UMOM New Day Centers.
