Three Snell & Wilmer Attorneys Recognized as Women of Influence in Law by the San Diego Business Journal
SAN DIEGO – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that attorneys Adriana R. Ochoa, Sarah Hibbard, and Tracie E. Stender have been recognized as “Women of Influence in Law” by the San Diego Business Journal. This award honors outstanding female attorneys for their career accomplishments and dedication to the San Diego community.
Ochoa is a Special Litigation and Compliance partner at Snell & Wilmer, where she focuses on public law and advises public agencies and private clients on complex governance, operational, and regulatory matters. She has extensive experience with the Ralph M. Brown Act, California Public Records Act, and California Voting Rights Act, and represents clients in litigation involving construction disputes, eminent domain, and Proposition 218. Ochoa is also involved in legal and community organizations, serving as a Madrina Member and former President of the San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association Scholarship Fund Board, where she helps support Latino law students and early-career attorneys.
Hibbard is counsel at Snell & Wilmer, advising life sciences and digital health companies on corporate governance, financings, M&A, and commercial agreements, including licensing, collaborations, tech transfers, and clinical trial arrangements. A former general counsel to biotech and MedTech companies, she also counsels boards and executives on compliance, risk, and capital planning. She serves on the board of Connect, guest lectures at UCSD and SDSU, and supports founders through SDSU’s Zip Launchpad and the Start-up Legal Garage at UC Law San Francisco.
Stender is Counsel at Snell & Wilmer, advising businesses, nonprofits, and public agencies on employment, governance, and operational matters across industries including hospitality, education, healthcare, and water. Her work covers the full employment lifecycle, union relations, audits, and investigations involving misconduct, conflicts of interest, and harassment. She also represents clients in litigation before state courts and administrative agencies. Tracie regularly speaks on legal and compliance topics, co-chairs the McKinley School Foundation’s SoNo Fest, and provides pro bono support on Servicemembers Civil Relief Act cases.
