PHOENIX – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Partner Anne Meyer has been inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel (ACEBC®). Anne was one of 11 attorneys nationwide to be inducted as a Fellow at its 26th Annual Meeting and Induction Ceremony on October 10, 2026. The ACEBC is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting excellence in employee benefits law by recognizing distinguished practitioners and advancing education, professional development, and public understanding of the field.
A Fellow of the ACEBC® is a nationally recognized employee benefits attorney who has demonstrated exceptional expertise, leadership, and contributions to advancing the field of employee benefits law. Fellows are selected through a rigorous nomination and review process. Each nominee must have focused on employee benefits law for at least 20 years, provided exceptional services to clients, the bar and the public and demonstrated a sustained commitment to public awareness and understanding of benefits laws through activities such as writing, speaking, public policy analysis, education, or public service. Induction as a Fellow of this organization is viewed as a national distinction.
Meyer’s practice is concentrated on employee benefits and executive compensation, including compliance with the requirements of the Internal Revenue Code and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA). Anne has more than 24 years of experience in counseling private and public companies and nonprofit organizations on all aspects of employee benefits including Section 401(k) and defined contribution plans, defined benefit and cash balance plans, equity compensation programs, and nonqualified and deferred compensation arrangements, including issues relating to Section 409A deferred compensation rules. Anne’s practice also includes advising clients on health and welfare arrangements, fringe benefit programs and employee benefit and executive compensation matters related to corporate mergers and acquisitions. She also routinely advises clients on ERISA fiduciary and prohibited transaction matters and represents clients before the IRS, DOL and PBGC on matters related to employee benefits.
Aside from her legal practice, Meyer is actively involved in the employee benefits profession, serving in leadership roles with the American Bar Association Section of Taxation’s Employee Benefits Committee and the Western Pension and Benefits Council, Phoenix Chapter, while also contributing to the TE/GE Council. She has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® for Employee Benefits (ERISA) Law since 2019 and was named Phoenix Lawyer of the Year in Employee Benefits (ERISA) Law for 2025 and 2027.
