Snell & Wilmer Attorney Megan Carrasco Appointed to the American Bar Association Litigation Section’s Judicial Intern Opportunity Program

Jun 03, 2026

PHOENIX – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that attorney Megan Carrasco has been appointed to serve on the American Bar Association (ABA) Litigation Section’s Judicial Intern Opportunity Program (JIOP) as a Working Group Member for Phoenix.

The Litigation Section is a professional organization within the American Bar Association that serves as a leading resource and network for litigators, judges, and legal professionals. Its purpose is to provide members with the knowledge, skills, and connections needed to excel in litigation practice, while advancing the rule of law, and supporting the fair and effective administration of justice.

The ABA Litigation Section’s JIOP is a national initiative that places law students, particularly those from diverse backgrounds and experiences, in summer internships with state and federal judges to foster greater access to opportunities within the legal profession.

‘’I have such a soft spot for law students. The legal profession is inherently difficult to navigate, so I am grateful to those judicial officers willing to spend time and effort to help make these students successful attorneys.’’ said Carrasco.

Carrasco is an experienced litigator, helping protect innovations and resolve complex disputes in business, construction, and intellectual property. Her practice focuses on commercial litigation, construction disputes, intellectual property, and patent litigation, as well as investigations, government enforcement, and white-collar defense. From initial pleadings to motion practice and trial or arbitration, Carrasco is skilled in every phase of litigation. She regularly helps clients navigate complex commercial disputes, including contract disputes and business torts. Carrasco also represents owners (including homeowners), contractors, and subcontractors in a wide array of construction-related disputes, such as defective workmanship, wrongful termination, change orders, mechanic’s liens, and breach of contract claims. In addition to her commercial and construction work, Carrasco conducts internal investigations and represents companies and individuals facing federal and state criminal, civil, and regulatory enforcement actions. She also maintains an active intellectual property litigation practice, assisting clients in protecting their innovations in competitive markets.

Carrasco is actively involved in several legal organizations, including the Committee on Access to Justice, the Arizona Women Lawyers Association, and the Federal Bar Association. Carrasco previously served as Chair of the State Bar of Arizona’s Council on Women and Minorities in the Law. She regularly authors publications and presentations, including as a contributor to the American Bar Association’s Business Law Today and through client alerts that highlight trending legal issues.
