Snell & Wilmer Represents Amkor Technology, Inc. in Top Economic Development Deal in North America for 2025

PHOENIX – Snell & Wilmer advised Amkor Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: AMKR), the world’s largest U.S. headquartered OSAT and global leader in outsourced semiconductor packaging and test services, on what has been named the top economic development deal in North America in 2025, according to Site Selection Magazine’s annual rankings.
 
The original 104-acre site, located within Peoria’s Innovation Core, will be home to large-scale, leading-edge semiconductor packaging and test capabilities. An additional 67-acre parcel adjacent to the existing campus will provide strategic flexibility to support future expansion and evolving customer demand. Snell & Wilmer’s real estate team handled negotiations with the City, documentation of the purchase transaction and development agreement, due diligence, foreign trade zone designation, and closing.
 
“Amkor’s investment in Arizona represents a significant step in building advanced semiconductor manufacturing capacity in the United States,” said Kevin Engel, president and chief executive officer of Amkor Technology in a company press release. “Our continued expansion in Arizona strengthens our ability to support customers with leading-edge packaging and test solutions while contributing to a more resilient global supply chain.” The Amkor campus is expected to be the first high-volume advanced packaging OSAT facility in the United States, supporting the growing demand for advanced semiconductor solutions across artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, automotive, and communications markets.
