Requirements include:

  • Previous law firm experience
  • 1+ year relevant hands-on professional technical support experience required
  • Ability to install, configure, troubleshoot and maintain all of the software applications and peripheral equipment.
  • Strong communication and training skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
  • Ability to multi-task, manage and appropriately prioritize multiple projects at the same time and continue to work end user requests as needed.

  • Analyzes and manages past-due accounts for the client collections offices and reports departmental activities to the Client Accounts Manager.

  • Meets regularly with billing attorneys and secretaries to discuss past due accounts and determine actions to collect.
  • Perform account reconciliations, provide account ledgers when necessary or requested.
  • Act as liaison between attorneys and the Accounting Department.
  • Build relationships with attorneys, secretaries and clients to facilitate prompt payment.

IT Analyst

The Applications Analyst’s primary role is to provide expert support, problem resolution, updating software as needed supporting and administering NetDocuments, Microsoft Office 2016, and other related applications. This also includes integrating with other applications, configuration, recommending new applications to meet the firm’s needs, general maintenance of the applications, and documentation.

The ideal analyst must have good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution. An analyst must be able to work in team environment, be customer oriented and be adaptive to each new situation.

As part of the IT Department’s requirements for 24/7 support services, the IT Applications Analyst may be called upon for after hours or weekend support and maintenance activities, both scheduled and unscheduled.

This is an exempt position and reports to the Manager of Applications. There are no direct reports to this position.


JOB DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for escalation tickets related to Document Management systems
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.

  • Provide status updates and follow-ups to front end support and end users
  •  Pass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team

Snell & Wilmer seeks to hire a driven self-starter to join the Snell & Wilmer team to oversee the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion, Women’s Initiative, Community Involvement/Pro Bono, and Alumni Programming efforts.  The successful candidate will enjoy working in a team atmosphere.  Interactions to include travel with firm leadership in all offices and community engagement in each of our markets will be expected.

Duties will include:

  • Advance the work of the firm’s Committee on Diversity & Inclusion
    • Work closely with Committee on Diversity & Inclusion chairs in designing, developing, monitoring and implementing strategies that advance our firm’s commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace, including programs designed to attract and retain diverse talent.
    • Provide administrative support to the Committee, including drafting meeting agenda in consultation with committee chairs, tracking progress of yearly goals, and attending regular Committee meetings.
    • Oversee the firm’s Fellowship for Advancement (“FAR”), including building relationships with FAR schools, promoting the FAR program, and taking responsibility for all applications through final selection.  Work with the Committee on Diversity & Inclusion to continue to improve the FAR program.
    • Design and monitor process to track diversity & inclusion engagements of our attorneys and offices.
    • Work with the Marketing Department in building the firm’s reputation as a leader with respect to diversity & inclusion efforts (through surveys, RFP’s, external press releases, formal and informal networking in each of our markets, and publications in magazines and professional journals).
    • Manage the firm’s collaboration clients on diversity & inclusion matters.
    • Monitor external best practices relative diversity & inclusion.
  • Advance the work of the firm’s Women’s Initiative Committee
    • Work closely with Women’s Initiative Committee chairs and members in developing and monitoring identified strategic initiatives.
    • Provide administrative support to the committee, including drafting meeting agenda in consultation with committee chairs, and tracking progress of yearly goals.
    • Monitor external best practices and recommend appropriate new initiatives or modifications of existing ones.
    • Track success in firm efforts and report progress to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Support the committee’s hiring, retention, and business development efforts. 
  • Advance the work of the firm’s Community Foundation
    • Coordinate and facilitate the firm’s community involvement and grant process
    • Track and report attorney efforts.
    • Build and develop Attorney Alumni Program, including website. 
    • Plan periodic Attorney Alumni events, including milestone celebrations.
  • Monitor developments in Diversity and Community Outreach programming through attendance at selected conferences and involvement in local chapters and report accordingly.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree coupled with at least five or more years of experience related to workplace diversity, inclusion and culture. Experience measuring and improving effective diversity and inclusion programs is preferred. A JD or Master’s degree is a plus. Experience working in a large law firm with multiple offices is helpful.  Strong organizational and presentation skills, work ethic, initiative, and sense of urgency are also very important.  Occasional travel to other offices required.

This position requires an ability to learn quickly.  Experience working in an office and administrative skills are helpful.  Candidates must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.  Proven knowledge of Windows 2010 to include Word, Excel, pdf manipulation and Outlook is also required. 

Once trained, typical responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Performs administrative dues such as preparing check requests and travel reimbursements
  • Assists with the billing process using accounting software
  • Performs conflict checks, opens new client matters, and sends out engagement letters
  • Ensures that all documents have been proofread, edited and revised as necessary
  • Electronically files documents into the firm’s document management system
  • Updates and maintains business development contacts
  • Responds to numerous phone calls and emails in a professional manner
  • Develops and maintains smooth working relationships with staff, attorneys and clients
  • Assists with opening and closing of new files

The firm will train incumbents on all duties.  Once trained, the successful candidate will be able to handle day-to-day work challenges and adjust to multiple demands, priorities and rapid change.  The incumbent must also possess excellent organizational, proofing and editing skills as well as the ability to function independently and possess good follow through and attention to detail.

Commercial Finance Paralegal Assistant

Snell & Wilmer L.L.P., one of the largest and most prestigious law firms in the Western United States, is currently seeking a full time Paralegal Assistant to join its Commercial Finance practice in Tucson, Arizona.  Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years of relevant experience.  Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assist lawyers with initial drafts of loan documents. 
  • Ensure receipt of Schedule B items; review and summarize.
  • Assist in ordering and review of UCC Searches.
  • Request and review entity documents for each entity involved in the transaction.
  • Obtain certificates of good standing/certificates of existence.  
  • Review title work, obtain payoff statements, and obtain clearance of all title issues.
  • Order surveys and commitments for lender's policy of title insurance.
  • Assist in drafting closing instruction letters.
  • Prepare and update closing checklists.
  • Assist in drafting escrow instructions.
  • Arrange for discharge and satisfaction of deed trust.   
  • Calendar significant dates for drafting documents, review, negotiations and closing.
  • Communicate transaction progress to team.

Additional Qualifications

  • Strong work ethic and ability to self-start.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments while delivering consistent, quality work-product to both attorneys and clients.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with appropriate supervision and to seek help when needed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
