Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Runs appropriate reports to determine what accounts need attention and addresses these issues with the appropriate attorney/secretary.
  • Analyzes and manages past-due accounts for the client collections offices and reports departmental activities to the Client Accounts Manager.
  • Generates and updates the monthly A/R and WIP (work in progress) that require additional information or approval of continued work.
  • Prepares various reports for attorneys on a monthly and quarterly basis and prepares other reports requested by attorneys.
  • Answers questions and assists in resolution of problems with all aspects of accounting which includes assisting secretaries, and other accounting personnel.
  • Acts as a resource and trains new attorneys and secretaries on our accounting software.
  • Resolve and appeal rejected electronic invoices, so they can be resubmitted.
  • Understand client billing guidelines. Intimate knowledge of client billing guidelines
  • Meets regularly with billing attorneys and secretaries to discuss past due accounts and determine actions to collect.
  • Perform account reconciliations, provide account ledgers when necessary or requested.
  • Act as liaison between attorneys and the Accounting Department.
  • Build relationships with attorneys, secretaries and clients to facilitate prompt payment.

Paralegal - Commercial Litigation

The human resource assistant is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations.

Essential Functions

IT Data Security Manager

  • Maintains a cyber-risk and security program driven by established information protection policies.

This position will work in a small team of messaging administrators and systems engineers.  This position must have strong technical, analytical and communication skills; and have broad knowledge of back-end systems and Windows based IT Enterprise infrastructure.  A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or the equivalent experience is essential.  Microsoft certifications a plus.  Also required is at least 5 years’ experience as a Microsoft Systems Administrator.

Snell & Wilmer, one of the largest and most prestigious law firms in the western United States is currently seeking a full time Paralegal to join its Corporate & Securities practice in Phoenix.  Qualified candidates will have at least 5 years of relevant experience.  Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist attorneys with corporate documents/materials.
    • Work with lawyers to prepare all documents required to form corporations (both business and not-for-profit corporations), partnerships and limited liability companies in any state.
    • Assist lawyers in the preparation of documentation for amendments, withdrawals, mergers and dissolutions of corporations, partnerships and/or limited liability companies.
    • Assist lawyers with the completion of stock certificates. Complete franchise tax forms for lawyer review.
    • Assist lawyers with real estate related diligence such as procuring preliminary title reports.
    • Create and maintain corporate minute books.
    • Assist with preparation of state filings for annual registration of franchise systems. 
    • Track filing deadlines to ensure periodic state and federal filings (i.e., statements of information, Form D’s, blue sky filings) are made timely.
  • Work directly with attorneys and clients during closings and corporate transactions.
    • Provide lawyers with assistance in the preparation for and closing of various corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and initial public offerings.
  • Assist with SEC Filings.
    • Work directly with lawyers to prepare SEC filings with regard to securities offerings and respond to the requirements of the Securities Acts of 1933 and 1934 filings.
  • Prepare/conduct UCC Filings/Searches.
    • Assist lawyers in the preparation and filing of UCC filings and handle UCC filing search requests in all states.
  • Work with Internal Revenue Service.
    • Assist with the completion and filing of SS-4 Forms with the Internal Revenue Service for the purpose of obtaining Employee Identification Numbers (EINs) for corporations, partnerships and/or limited liability companies.
