Employers That Sponsor Group Health Plans Must Take Action to Comply with CHIPRA

On February 4, 2009, President Obama signed the Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2009 ("CHIPRA") into law. CHIPRA reauthorized and significantly expanded the Children's Health Insurance Program ("CHIP"), which provides health coverage to children whose families do not otherwise qualify for Medicaid.
