SAN DIEGO – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that attorneys Monique Lashbrook and Roz Sutton have been recognized as “Leaders of Influence in Commercial Real Estate” by the San Diego Business Journal. According to the publication, this award recognizes and celebrates the achievements and contributions of leaders in the San Diego commercial real estate industry.

Lashbrook is a partner in the San Diego office and advises clients on complex commercial real estate, corporate, and finance transactions. She represents clients across asset classes including multifamily, hospitality, industrial, office, and mixed-use. She has led major transactions nationwide, such as a $125 million acquisition of a mixed-use project in Texas, a $150 million purchase of an age-restricted multifamily portfolio in Las Vegas, an $80 million acquisition of a multifamily project in Miami, and a $36 million mortgage loan for a San Francisco hotel. Her experience includes joint ventures, commercial mortgage financing, leasing, and mergers and acquisitions. Previously serving as general counsel for a private equity real estate firm and as deputy general counsel for the City of San Diego’s Redevelopment Agency, Lashbrook brings a unique, solutions-oriented perspective that allows her to anticipate client needs and deliver exceptional results on high-value, high-stakes transactions.

Sutton, counsel in the San Diego office, represents developers, private equity funds, and financial institutions in sophisticated commercial real estate transactions. Her practice spans acquisitions, dispositions, development, financing, and construction of major commercial projects. She brings deep experience across both equity investments and debt financing, including preferred equity investments and mortgage and mezzanine loan origination and restructuring. She has advised on high-value transactions including the financing of a nine-property multifamily portfolio subject to New York rent regulation, a $150+ million GMP construction contract for a tech campus, and the acquisition and financing of an office building for conversion to a dual branded hotel in California. With a background at top national firms and an active role in USD’s Burnham-Moores Center, Sutton is a recognized leader in commercial real estate law.
