Legal Alert: SEC Adopts Interpretive Guidance on Climate Change Disclosures
On February 2, 2010, the SEC issued an interpretive release applicable to disclosures about climate change matters. This guidance applies to your company’s upcoming Form 10-K. The interpretive release was approved in a contested 3-2 vote, with Commissioners Kathleen Casey and Troy Paredes disagreeing with the SEC putting itself in the intersection between climate control and politics.
