Legal Alert: Final Mandatory Reporting of Greenhouse Gases
On September 22, 2009 the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued its final rule on Mandatory Reporting of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions. The final rule, spanning over 700 pages, signals the first real step on the path toward GHG emission regulation. The final rule will impact businesses across all sectors of the economy and the EPA estimates it will impact about 10,000 businesses nationwide.
