This is the first issue of our Global Connection newsletter since President Biden took office. Global trade may not dominate the news in the early days of his presidency, but it does directly impact many of the challenges faced by the United States.
It is still too early to have a clear view of President Biden’s trade policy. For example, we still do not have a clear direction on his stance on trade negotiations with China. Nonetheless, many of President Biden's early executive orders, policies and plans tend to indicate that he seeks to create a trade environment that will incentivize companies to build up their North American supply chains and invest in expanding production capacity in the United States.
It is in this current trade environment that we bring five new articles to you:
