Russ Johnson’s practice is focused on employee benefits, including compliance with the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) and the Internal Revenue Code. Russ assists employers with design, documentation and administration of qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, various health and welfare plans, and executive compensation programs. He also assists with review of employee benefit plans in the context of complex corporate transactions.
Russ’s practice covers a range of employee benefit matters to match an array of client needs. His experience includes areas such as plan failure resolution under the IRS Employee Plans Compliance Resolution System, required IRS filings, navigation of multi-employer plan withdrawal liability, and administration and design of SIMPLE IRAs and employee leave-sharing programs.
