Biography

Tanya Lewis focuses her practice on commercial litigation, with an emphasis on the financial services industry, where she is known for her creative problem-solving and practical approach to complex disputes. She regularly represents major financial institutions in matters involving federal and state consumer protection statutes, breach of contract issues, tort law claims, and lender and servicer liability related to mortgage lending, automotive lending, transportation, loan servicing, foreclosure, and credit matters. Tanya has significant experience defending clients against claims involving fraud and misrepresentation, wrongful foreclosure, and alleged violations of the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA).

Before establishing her practice in Utah, Tanya spent several years in Las Vegas representing insurance companies and self-insured common carriers in insurance defense litigation. She is deeply committed to community engagement and empowering women, and currently serves as chair of the Salt Lake City office’s Community Involvement Committee.
