Representative Experience

• Represented franchisor in its brick-and-mortar expansion to 20+ retail locations in the Southwestern States via new leases as well as corporate acquisitions of existing franchisee locations
• Represented retailer in its brick-and-mortar expansion into 15+ new stores located in Class A shopping centers, malls, and high streets nationwide
• Represented private-equity-backed retailer in its efforts to evaluate underperforming lease locations and secure lease terminations with landlords for select stores in California and Texas
• Represented private equity group in its various corporate acquisitions of existing fast-food restaurants from franchisee operators and evaluation of those existing retail leases nationwide
• Represented public university in its corporate acquisition of a private university’s assets, including its campus property
• Represented family in its sale to, and leaseback of, its ranch properties and ranching business to an energy company in Arizona
• Represented supply company in its $12M+ acquisition of a neighboring factory in an industrial park to expand its existing operations in California
• Represented family office in a $75M+ acquisition of a business park with office and retail space in California
• Represented art museum in its acquisition of two commercial properties (a parking lot operation and an office building) to preserve the scenic views of the institution from redevelopment
• Represented national bank in its acquisition of three retail bank locations in California
• Represented private equity real estate investment company in its $17M acquisition as well as debt and equity financing of a multifamily property in Texas
• Represented publicly traded real estate investment trusts (REITs) in their sales of single-tenant triple net properties nationwide
• Represented family office in a nearly $60M sale of a multifamily property located in Washington, where the property served as the “downleg” of a 1031 exchange
• Assisted in lenders’ efforts to diligence parcels in Arizona and New Mexico related to an $11B financing of one of the largest clean energy infrastructure projects in the United States
