Morgan Povinelli focuses her practice on trademark and trade dress infringement, unfair competition, and false advertising litigation and enforcement. She regularly represents clients in federal trial and appellate courts throughout the United States and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) of the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, as well as in domain name disputes before the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and similar fora. Morgan also has experience representing clients in federal trade secret litigation.
In addition to her litigation practice, Morgan also regularly counsels clients and provides complex strategy for the development and protection of their trademark and copyright rights, including managing trademark, copyright, and domain name portfolios, providing trademark selection and clearance support, drafting contracts related to IP assignment and licensing, and advising in the intellectual property aspects of corporate transactions.
Morgan is a member of the International Trademark Association’s Famous and Well-Known Marks Committee. She is also the D.C. Chair of Snell & Wilmer’s Attorney Development Committee and a member of the firm’s Mentoring Subcommittee.
