Mariana Bacil Williams is an Associate in Snell & Wilmer’s Seattle office, where she represents clients in both litigation and transactional matters. She brings a detail-oriented and strategic approach to each engagement, with a focus on practical solutions that align with her clients’ goals. Her practice encompasses breach of contract, insurance coverage, construction defect, and regulatory compliance matters, and she has extensive experience managing complex discovery and e-discovery processes.
Before joining Snell & Wilmer, Mariana honed her litigation and advocacy skills at a boutique law firm in the Seattle area, where she handled breach of contract, insurance coverage, and construction defect cases and collaborated closely with expert witnesses across multiple disciplines. Prior to her U.S. practice, Mariana practiced law in Brazil for over a decade, both in private practice and as in-house counsel for a subsidiary of a British multinational mining company. In those roles, she advised on regulatory issues, environmental compliance, contracts, labor law, and corporate governance, frequently working with multidisciplinary teams across global operations. Her ability to navigate high-stakes, cross-border matters with meticulous attention to detail enabled her to quickly establish herself in the Washington legal community, where she continues to deliver tailored and effective legal representation.
Mariana holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Global Business Law, with Honors, from the University of Washington, where she was named a Global Business Law Fellow, an honor recognizing academic excellence and leadership. Her academic background also includes an MBA in Tax Law from Fundação Getulio Vargas, a J.D. from Faculdades Milton Campos, and a B.A. in Social Communication.
Outside of the office, Mariana enjoys yoga, photography, exploring the scenic landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, and spending time with her dog, Rio.
