Jeffrey Reeser is a member of the Environmental and Natural Resources practice group in the firm’s Denver office. Jeff has more than 24 years of experience as a senior executive and general counsel in both the natural resources and technology industries.

  • Serves as outside General Counsel for various mid-tier energy and mining companies
  • Served as Corporate Secretary and Compliance Officer for Fortune 500 natural resources company, responsible for all '33 Act and '34 Exchange Act reports and filings
  • Represented various multinational companies in various mergers & acquisitions and complex debt and equity offerings, including $2 billion public debt offering, joint venture agreements in at least 20 countries, multiple private rights offerings and a metals refinery acquisition
  • Regularly consults with clients on the acquisition, development and operation of mining and energy projects
  • Developed and led international joint venture program and served as lead division counsel for Fortune 500 technology company
  • Consulted with mining client on pending $300 million IPO on the NYSE and TSX
  • Represented various mining clients in complex natural resources litigation, most recently defending client in $150 million mortgage litigation
  • Developed client's risk management program tailored to the highly regulated natural resources industry, including development of insurance programs and coverage limits
  • Regularly advises in connection with complex natural resources permitting and environmental law matters, including successful legal actions enabling a client to operate its mine within a Superfund site
  • Represented numerous mine operators in connection with environmental and land use permitting and ongoing regulatory matters in the U.S., Canada and Mexico
  • Represented clients in the acquisition, management and divestiture of mineral properties comprising approximately 300,000 acres, collectively
  • Represented numerous clients in complex water adjudication matters
