Don Bivens is a recent chair of the 55,000-member Section of Litigation of the American Bar Association, and past president of the State Bar of Arizona and the Western States Bar Conference. He has broad experience in complex litigation and class actions of all types, and in internal investigations. Don has handled cases in multiple state and federal courts involving securities fraud, intellectual property, patents, trademarks, trade secrets, lender liability, environmental liability, banking and financial transactions, professional negligence (medical, architectural, legal, accounting, auditing), officer and director liability, products liability, sex harassment and discrimination (religion, race, gender and sexual orientation), real estate and construction transactions, significant trust, estate and tax also disputes, business torts, wrongful death and many class actions. Don leads internal investigations for corporations and special committees of corporate and non-profit boards on a variety of issues, including regulatory compliance, HR matters, and insider trading. For over a decade, Don has represented the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona in ecclesiastical and secular matters as Chancellor and Church Attorney.
