As former in-house counsel for a health information exchange, Chase has extensive experience in the healthcare arena, especially relating to healthcare information systems. He advises clients on a variety of healthcare matters, including compliance with HIPAA and related data privacy laws, and supports client’s technical teams in designing compliant system architecture and documentation.
Data Privacy
Chase advises U.S. and international clients to navigate risks and develop effective approaches to promote cybersecurity and lawful use of data, including supporting clients to develop cyber risk management programs, privacy and information security policies, workforce training on privacy laws, and information governance. He routinely assists clients with drafting policies related to the EU GDPR, California Consumer Privacy Act, Privacy Shield, TCPA, COPPA, CAN-SPAM, HIPAA, and HITECH.
Life Sciences/Medical Devices
Chase advises biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device and diagnostics companies on a variety of commercial contracting and clinical matters. He has experience negotiating pre-clinical and clinical trial agreements, material transfer agreements, and domestic and international supply chain agreements.
