Catherine Barnard is a member of Snell & Wilmer's special litigation and compliance practice group. Catherine focuses her practice on complex litigation in the areas of insurance coverage, professional liability and general liability claims. Catherine advises policyholders and carriers on a wide range of commercial insurance coverage matters. Her professional liability experience includes defending physicians and health care providers in state licensing board matters. Catherine also has a background in attorney malpractice, transportation, construction and design professional E&O claims, and insurance agent liability.
Catherine teaches business law as a Faculty Associate at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. She has taught courses in privacy law, business disputes, nonprofit law and business relationships. Catherine brings this academic focus to finding creative solutions to her client’s litigation needs.
During law school, Catherine worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable Samuel A. Thumma at the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One and for the Honorable Bridget S. Bade at the United States District Court, District of Arizona.
