Snell & Wilmer Partner Jeffrey A. Scudder Appointed to Valley of the Sun YMCA Metro Board of Directors

PHOENIX – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Partner Jeffrey A. Scudder was appointed to the Valley of the Sun YMCA Metro Board of Directors. Established in 1892, the Valley of the Sun YMCA is one of the oldest and largest nonprofits in the state of Arizona. The organization touches the lives of individuals and families through different programs, activities, events, and community outreach.

Scudder is a long-time YMCA supporter and started contributing several years ago at the branch level. He previously served as chair of the Lincoln Family Downtown YMCA’s Board of Management, and as a member of the Valley of the Sun YMCA Metro Board’s Finance Committee. Also in the community, Scudder is a member of the Arizona Town Hall Board of Directors, the Genesis City Board of Directors, the Iowa Law School Foundation Board of Directors, and the Dean’s Executive Advisory Board for the University of Northern Iowa College of Business.
In his legal practice, Scudder concentrates in corporate and securities law, with a focus on complex business transactions (including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, leveraged recapitalizations and restructurings), corporate governance, SEC reporting and compliance, general contracting, and antitrust compliance. He advises boards, board committees and officers of clients across a wide variety of industries, ranging from publicly traded corporations with large market capitalizations to private equity firms to small nonprofit entities.
