Snell & Wilmer Attorney Erin Gettel Appointed to the Rocky Mountain Innocence Center Board of Directors

LAS VEGAS – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that attorney Erin Gettel has been appointed to serve on the Board of Directors of the Rocky Mountain Innocence Center. 

The Rocky Mountain Innocence Center is a non-profit organization that has worked to correct and prevent the wrongful conviction of innocent people in Utah, Nevada, and Wyoming since 2001. They are the only organization in the region that provides innocence investigation and litigation services, and these services are entirely free of charge.

Gettel is an associate in the firm’s commercial litigation practice group. Prior to joining Snell & Wilmer, she was an Assistant Federal Public Defender for the District of Nevada in the trial unit. She also served as a Term Law Clerk to the Honorable Jennifer A. Dorsey in the United States District Court for the District of Nevada.

Gettel was a recipient of the 2023 Snell & Wilmer Pro Bono Award for her contributions to advancing pro bono work, including her relationship with the Rocky Mountain Innocence Center. Gettel is also a member of the Criminal Justice Act (CJA) Panel for the District of Nevada, through which she represents indigent defendants charged with federal crimes.
