Phoenix Partner David P. Nigro Joins the Board of Raising Special Kids

PHOENIX – Snell & Wilmer’s Phoenix Partner David P. Nigro has been elected to the Board of Directors of Raising Special Kids, an organization that supports families of children who have disabilities so they have the resources they need to help their child reach their potential.

Founded in 1979, Raising Special Kids was started by families, professionals, and community members who wanted to provide help to parents of children with disabilities and special health care needs. Today, Raising Special Kids helps thousands of Arizona families by providing parents with the information they need to access health care, community resources, and other services.

Mr. Nigro is a statewide leader on issues relating to the education of children with sensory disabilities. He has served on the Boards of the Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind, as well as the Foundation for Blind Children. This new role will enable him to continue to advocate for children with special needs, and their families, throughout Arizona.

Mr. Nigro's law practice is concentrated in intellectual property. He has experience advising clients in patent and trademark prosecutions, patent and trademark litigation, and transactions involving intellectual property. He has experience in a variety of industries and technologies including chemical processes and compositions, consumer and pet food production/packaging, composite materials, seed and plant biotechnology, renewable/sustainable technologies, ceramics, aerospace systems, electrical power generation and control, jet engines, nacelles, financial services and information technologies.
