SALT LAKE CITY (June 22, 2023) – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Salt Lake City attorney Tyson J. Prisbrey has been appointed to a one-year term on the Utah Supreme Court Advisory Committee on the Rules of Business and Chancery Court Procedure.
The Business and Chancery Court aims to provide business litigants with a specialized forum in which business disputes may be quickly resolved. The Court was introduced as H.B. 216 during the 2023 General Session of Utah’s 65th Legislature and was sponsored by Rep. Brady Brammer. The legislators unanimously passed the bill, and Governor Cox signed it into law on March 20, 2023, officially establishing the Business and Chancery Court.

He has experience advising public and private companies in disputes stemming from mergers and acquisitions, corporate financing, corporate control, and alternative entity dissolutions.
Prior to joining Snell & Wilmer, Prisbrey gained significant experience in representing clients in the Delaware Court of Chancery litigating commercial and corporate matters. With this experience, he has developed a knowledge of and advises clients on compliance with the Delaware General Corporation Law, the Delaware Limited Liability Company Act, and the Delaware Revised Uniform Partnership Act.
