Snell & Wilmer Partner Richard G. Erickson Inducted into the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame Society
PHOENIX – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Partner Richard G. Erickson has been inducted into the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame Society. He is one of 19 highly deserving Arizona veterans inducted into the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame Society this year joining a distinguished list of Arizona veterans who have served honorably in our armed forces.
Founded in 2007, the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame Society (AVHOFS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to recognizing Arizona veterans for their exceptional contributions to their communities after military service. Through advocacy, scholarships, recognition programs, and support for veteran-focused initiatives, the Society works to strengthen the lives of veterans, military families, and survivors while promoting continued service and leadership across Arizona. Veterans are considered for induction by way of nominations and then, after a vigorous selection process, the Unified Arizona Veterans submit recommended inductees to the Governor for approval.
“It is such a distinct honor to be inducted into the Veterans Hall of Fame and to continue in service for veterans in need. So many servant leaders looked out for me when I wore the uniform, and we have such an incredible fellowship of veterans in Arizona to engage with and support. Semper Fidelis!” said Erickson.
Erickson is a retired Colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps after 30 years of active and reserve military service. He received 20 personal and unit commendations, including the Legion of Merit. He deployed multiple times as both an Infantry Officer and Judge Advocate, has been published on topics of cyberwarfare, counterinsurgency, and national security law, and he continues to write and speak on military topics. He held a Top-Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance until he retired in 2021. Erickson is actively involved in the community, contributing as a leader, board member and volunteer for several local and national service and veteran organizations, including U.S. VETS, U.S. Global Leadership Coalition and Arizona Corporate Council on Veteran Careers.
In his legal practice, Erickson concentrates his practice on construction law, military law, commercial litigation, alternative dispute resolution, and complex business disputes, representing owners, developers, contractors, design professionals, and other clients in state and federal courts, as well as in mediation and arbitration proceedings. Recognized among the leading construction attorneys in Arizona, Erickson has been consistently recognized by leading legal directories.
