Feb 12, 2026

LOS ANGELES – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Patricia Brum has been appointed North American Regional Forum Liaison Officer of the International Bar Association’s LGBTQI+ Law Committee. Brum’s term will run through December 31, 2027.

The LGBTQI+ Law Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA) is a specialist committee under the Section on Public and Professional Interest (SPPI), dedicated to advancing legal equality, professional inclusion, and the protection of LGBTQI+ rights globally. The Committee serves as a forum for legal practitioners to exchange knowledge, engage in policy discussions, and collaborate on developments affecting LGBTQI+ individuals across jurisdictions.

The SPPI Committees play a vital role in serving IBA members worldwide through conferences, webinars, projects, and publications. As a North American Regional Forum Liaison of the LGBTQI+ Law Committee Officer, Brum will contribute to fostering regional engagement, strengthening cross-jurisdictional dialogue, and advancing best practices in LGBTQI+ legal advocacy. In connection with her appointment, Brum will participate in SPPI Council and Committee Officers Meetings held in conjunction with the IBA Mid-Year Meetings and the IBA Annual Conference.

With more than 15 years of international business and litigation experience, Brum has distinguished herself as one of Los Angeles’ most dynamic and accomplished business litigators. A partner in Snell & Wilmer’s Los Angeles office, she represents major financial institutions and Fortune 500 companies in high-stakes commercial and consumer disputes, including matters involving emerging privacy and data protection laws. She is also part of a select group of attorneys who advises some of the largest financial institutions in the country on consumer class actions.

Brum brings a global perspective shaped by work in more than 40 countries and professional roles with the United Nations, Ernst & Young, and multinational companies prior to becoming an attorney. This international background informs her approach to complex cross-border litigation, where she has handled multimillion-dollar matters spanning South America, Asia, Europe, and the United States.
