Snell & Wilmer Partner Patricia Brum Appointed Jurisdiction Coordinator of the International Bar Association Class Actions Committee
LOS ANGELES – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Patricia Brum has been appointed Jurisdiction Coordinator of the Class Actions Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA) Legal Practice Division. Brum’s term will run through December 31, 2027.
The Class Actions Committee of the IBA is a specialist committee under the IBA’s Dispute Resolution Section focused on monitoring and discussing developments in class action and collective redress regimes globally. It serves as a forum for legal practitioners to share information, debate key policy issues, and coordinate comparative perspectives on class action practice across jurisdictions.
The IBA Legal Practice Division Committees play a critical role in serving members worldwide through conferences, webinars, publications, and collaborative initiatives. As an officer, Brum will contribute to advancing global dialogue and best practices in class actions and collective redress. In connection with her appointment, Brum will participate in the IBA’s Legal Practice Division Council and Committee Officers Meetings in conjunction with the IBA Mid-Year Meetings and the IBA Annual Conference.
With more than 15 years of international business and litigation experience, Brum has distinguished herself as one of Los Angeles’ most dynamic and accomplished business litigators. A partner in Snell & Wilmer’s Los Angeles office, she represents major financial institutions and Fortune 500 companies in high-stakes commercial and consumer disputes, including matters involving emerging privacy and data protection laws. She is also part of a select group of attorneys who advises some of the largest financial institutions in the country on consumer class actions.
Brum brings a global perspective shaped by work in more than 40 countries and professional roles with the United Nations, Ernst & Young, and multinational companies prior to becoming an attorney. This international background informs her approach to complex cross-border litigation, where she has handled multimillion-dollar matters spanning South America, Asia, Europe, and the United States.
