Snell & Wilmer Partner John Delikanakis Elected to the Executive Committee of Howard D. McKibben American Inn of Court
LAS VEGAS – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Partner John S. Delikanakis has been elected by his peers to serve on the Executive Committee of the Howard D. McKibben American Inn of Court. Named in honor of Judge Howard D. McKibben, a highly respected jurist and former Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada, the Inn is dedicated to fostering excellence, civility, professionalism, and mentorship within the legal community.
The Howard D. McKibben American Inn of Court is affiliated with the American Inns of Court, a national organization committed to improving the skills, professionalism, and ethics of the bench and bar. The Inn regularly hosts educational programs and community service initiatives designed to promote collegiality and professional development among judges, experienced lawyers, early-career attorneys, and law students. Recent initiatives have included a continuing legal education program on Tribal Justice perspectives in collaboration with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas’ William S. Boyd School of Law and volunteer service projects supporting local nonprofit organizations.
In this new leadership role, Delikanakis will help guide the Inn’s programming, oversee membership initiatives, and support its mission of advancing the highest standards of the legal profession.
Delikanakis has been recognized in commercial litigation for numerous years by The Best Lawyers in America®. He received his LLM from King’s College in London, J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law, and his A.B. from Vassar College. Earlier this year, he was elected to the Board of Trustees for the Friends of Clermont, a nonprofit supporting the Clermont State Historic Site in Germantown, New York. He also recently joined the Board of Trustees of the African American Archive of Columbia County, which documents and preserves the history of African Americans in the county from the 17th century to today. In addition, Delikanakis is the immediate past president of the Board of Trustees for the Columbia County Historical Society.
