Snell & Wilmer Partner Jennifer Yee Appointed President of the Downtown Scottsdale Young Professionals (DSYP) Kiwanis Club
PHOENIX – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Partner Jennifer R. Yee was appointed President of the Downtown Scottsdale Young Professionals (DSYP) Kiwanis club.
The Downtown Scottsdale Young Professionals (DSYP) Kiwanis Club is a nonprofit community service organization dedicated to improving the lives of children. As a local chapter of Kiwanis International, a global organization focused on improving the lives of children and communities, DSYP engages young professionals through community service, leadership development, and networking opportunities. The DSYP club hosts events such as its annual charity kickball tournament to raise funds for causes like the Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Kiwanis International Children’s Fund. DSYP also hosts hands-on community service events for organizations such as the Ronald McDonald House Charities and The Singletons, and sponsors a successful Key Club at Horizon School, which teaches students how to lead through community service.
Yee has been involved with DSYP since 2012. Previously, she served as President (2015-2016), District Lieutenant Governor (2017-2018), Treasurer (2021-2023), and Vice President (2023-2024) of the organization.
‘’I’m pleased to step into the role of President and continue the meaningful impact that the DSYP Kiwanis club has on our community. It is a privilege to give back through service and a joy to work alongside such fantastic professionals who dedicate time to making the world better for the next generation,’’ said Yee.
Yee’s law practice is concentrated in labor and employment law and commercial litigation. Her litigation experience includes federal and state court practice in a variety of employment-related issues. Yee has assisted her clients in defending against wrongful termination, wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims under numerous state and federal laws, and she works with companies to enforce employee restrictive covenants and confidentiality agreements. She also assists employers with respect to investigations by government agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Labor, and the National Labor Relations Board. In addition, Yee enjoys advising clients on a wide variety of compliance issues under federal, state, and local regulations. In addition to her involvement with the Kiwanis Club, Yee is also a member of the Volunteer Lawyers Program (CLS), a legal organization dedicated to providing assistance, advice, representation, self-help materials, and legal education to help individuals understand their rights.
