Sep 11, 2025

LOS ANGELES – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Los Angeles partner Douglas A. Thompson has been named to the 2026 edition of The Lawdragon 500 Leading Litigators in America.

According to the publication, this guide honors outstanding advocates who have made their mark representing clients in their most important courtroom, investigative, and administrative battles. This year’s guide was selected from a record-breaking number of submissions, alongside Lawdragon’s original journalistic research and vetting with the nation’s leading trial lawyers. The 2026 edition recognizes lawyers nationwide whose practices span class actions, securities litigation, antitrust, commercial disputes, among others.

Thompson focuses his practice on defending class action litigation. He also represents financial institutions and businesses in regulatory investigations and complex commercial disputes. Over his career, he has represented clients in more than 250 putative class actions nationwide and has defended claims under a wide range of federal banking and consumer lending laws. His experience also extends to privacy and fraud-related allegations, ESG disclosure risks, and unfair competition claims. Before joining Snell & Wilmer, Thompson spent more than a decade in-house managing enterprise-wide class actions and litigation strategy for a national financial services institution.

In addition to his litigation practice, Thompson collaborates with clients on risk mitigation strategies, governance best practices, and legal technology initiatives. He also regularly authors publications and delivers educational programming on emerging litigation and regulatory issues. He is further committed to pro bono work, contributing to initiatives that support veterans and underserved communities.
