Snell & Wilmer Former Partner John Bouma Inducted in Wildlife for Tomorrow’s Arizona Outdoor Hall of Fame

PHOENIX – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that former Chair John Bouma was inducted into Wildlife for Tomorrow’s 2025 Arizona Outdoor Hall of Fame, along with six other individuals. The inductees are a diverse group of experts and advocates who have made significant contributions to Arizona’s natural heritage and demonstrated unwavering commitment to wildlife conservation in Arizona.

Wildlife for Tomorrow’s mission is to accelerate and magnify the impact of the Arizona Game and Fish Department’s efforts to conserve and protect Arizona’s wildlife while promoting safe, ethical outdoor recreation.

Bouma built a celebrated career at Snell & Wilmer and was Chair of the firm for more than 30 years, stepping down in 2015. He combined a professional life of service to clients, community, and his firm with a robust appreciation for outdoor activities.  

Current Firm Chair, Barbara Dawson, shared, “While nationally renowned for his leadership in the legal profession, John balanced his professional career with time spent hunting, fishing, and boating with family and friends. He often spoke of Lake Powell as his favorite venue, as it offered an annual respite with his cherished family. John will be long remembered for his true enjoyment of all that nature offers, in addition to his extraordinary professional accomplishments.”
