Snell & Wilmer Attorney Jada Allender Joins Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley
PHOENIX – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that attorney Jada Allender has joined the board of directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley (BGCAZ).
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley is a nonprofit organization based in Phoenix, Arizona that provides after-school, summer, and youth development programs for children and teens. It is the largest childcare provider in the Valley, serving 20,000+ young people across 30 Clubs, for 75 years. BGCAZ focuses on helping Arizona youth succeed in school, build character, stay healthy, and prepare for future careers by providing safe, affordable after-school and summer programs.
“Allender brings exactly the governance and compliance expertise our board needs as we grow — and just as important, she’s shown throughout her career that she shows up for the people she works with. That’s the kind of leader our kids deserve,” said Marcia Mintz, President and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley.
“Some of the most important development in a young person’s life happens in a homework room, in an after-school program, and in a conversation with an adult who shows up. BGCAZ has been doing this work in Arizona for 75 years. I’m honored to help steward it,” said Allender.
Allender joins the board bringing corporate governance, nonprofit compliance, and sports-industry experience to an organization whose programming spans athletics, academics, and workforce development. Her practice includes professional sports, NIL matters, cross-border transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity and venture capital financings. She is also co-chair of the firm’s Sports and Entertainment Industry Group in the Phoenix office. A recognized thought leader in the industry, Allender has been published in the Harvard Journal of Sports and Entertainment Law, Bloomberg Law, and Sports Business Journal, was named one of Arizona’s Most Influential Minority Business Leaders in 2026, and recognized in the University of Oregon College of Business Forty Under 40. Allender was recently appointed to the Board of Directors for the University of Oregon Alumni Association.
