Snell & Wilmer Attorney Gregory J. Sonnenberg Named Chair of Constitutional Rights Foundation-Orange County’s Associate Board of Directors
ORANGE COUNTY – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Orange County attorney Gregory J. Sonnenberg has been named Chair of the Associate Board of Directors for the Constitutional Rights Foundation-Orange County (CRF-OC). Sonnenberg has served as a member of CRF-OC’s Associate Board of Directors since 2021.
The CRF-OC is a local non-profit, non-partisan education organization dedicated to promoting civic literacy, youth leadership, and career awareness among Orange County teens. Operating consistently since 1981, CRF-OC organizes and operates high-quality, interactive civic and law-related education programs that connect students directly with professionals and community leaders. The innovative programs help local teens understand and appreciate our democratic institutions and the rights and responsibilities of citizenship, develop academic and leadership skills, as well as an interest in contributing to the larger community, and aspire to professional careers. The programs are made available to all high school students in Orange County at no cost to participating youth.
Sonnenberg is a member of the firm’s Litigation, Investigations, and Trials practice group and focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation and trust, estate, and fiduciary litigation. He serves as litigation counsel in matters involving breach of fiduciary duty, accounting disputes, corporate ownership issues, misappropriation of assets, and unfair competition. Sonnenberg also regularly represents trustees and trust beneficiaries in contested estate litigation. In addition, he advises clients on evaluating litigation risk and resolving disputes prior to the initiation of formal litigation, including drafting and responding to demand letters and negotiating settlements. He has substantial experience representing and counseling clients through mediation and other alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
Sonnenberg is also a certified public accountant. Prior to joining Snell & Wilmer, he worked for a nationally recognized accounting firm in its audit and financial services group, where he audited corporate financial statements and evaluated fraud risk and business control deficiencies. Sonnenberg earned his J.D. from the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law in 2018. He obtained both his MAcc in Taxation in 2014 and his B.S. in Accounting in 2013 from the University of Utah, David Eccles School of Business. Sonnenberg is admitted to practice in California and Utah.
