State and Local Tax Reform for the Construction Industry

March 18, 2015

The tax code for the construction industry was completely revamped in 2013 and again in 2014. As a result of political compromise, the industry was effectively split in two for tax purposes, which produced unintended confusion and considerable hardship for contractors and their suppliers. Recognizing the need for a manageable tax structure, a comprehensive group of stakeholders set out to find common ground and fill in the missing pieces to the puzzle. This effort resulted in legislation that was signed by Gov. Ducey on February 24.

We invite you to attend a complimentary seminar to learn about these important changes from three people directly involved throughout the legislative process: Snell & Wilmer Partner Craig McPike, Christie Comanita with the Arizona Department of Revenue and Lee Grafstrom with the League of Arizona Cities and Towns. Snell & Wilmer partner Jim Sienicki will moderate this timely seminar.
