EVENT ALERT – Los Angeles, CA – Pincus Professional Education Presents: 2011 Storytelling For Appellate Lawyers

November 3, 2011

This seminar will teach you how to use storytelling techniques developed in fiction and creative nonfiction writing to craft persuasive appellate briefs.  These techniques have been used effectively for centuries to grab and hold a reader’s attention, and to lead the reader to react favorably (or unfavorably) to particular actors or events.  They are of great value in any form of persuasive writing, yet are underutilized by many legal practitioners. This course will explore the importance of storytelling in the art of persuasion from both a judicial and an advocate’s perspective.  We will use examples from briefs and judicial opinions to illustrate the skills taught.

Snell & Wilmer partner M.C. Sungaila is a featured speaker of this seminar.
