Snell & Wilmer Secures Arbitration Victory for Bright Event Rentals in Employment Dispute
SAN DIEGO – Snell & Wilmer obtained a complete defense award in an arbitration on behalf of Bright Event Rentals, LLC, resolving claims brought by a former employee who alleged wrongful termination and various disability-related violations.
Brent M. Douglas led the Snell & Wilmer team representing Bright with support from Trevor S. Locko and Alexandra Wallin. The arbitration, held on August 5, 2025, stemmed from Jessica Davis-Fradet v. Bright Event Rentals, LLC (JAMS Ref No. 5240002175, San Diego Superior Court Case No. 37-2023-00023873-CU-WT-CTL). The claimant asserted seven causes of action including disability discrimination, failure to accommodate, failure to engage in the interactive process, retaliation, failure to prevent discrimination, wrongful termination in violation of public policy, and negligent infliction of emotional distress.
After considering the evidence and testimony presented, Arbitrator Michael Weaver issued a final award rejecting all of the claimant’s allegations and finding that Bright Event Rentals did not engage in any wrongful conduct. The victory extends a hot streak of winning results for Bright, a longtime firm client that depends on Snell & Wilmer to take cases to trial.
