Snell & Wilmer Represents New Enterprise Associates (NEA) in $97 Million Series B Financing of Databento
SAN DIEGO – Snell & Wilmer represented client New Enterprise Associates (NEA), a global venture capital firm, as it led Databento’s $97 million Series B financing. Databento is a market data platform for modern finance that provides real-time and historical market data across futures, options, and equities through a unified API.
The financing will support Databento’s continued growth and global expansion, including broadening its market data coverage across additional asset classes and geographies while further scaling its infrastructure. Since launching in 2023, Databento has experienced rapid growth, serving many of the world’s leading financial firms with an institutional-grade market data platform designed to simplify data access and accelerate development for trading and research teams.
“Databento has built the modern foundation this industry has needed for a long time,” said Rick Yang, NEA Partner and Head of Technology, in a recent press release. “This is exactly the kind of company we back at NEA, and we’re thrilled to be along for the ride.”
Daniel McEvers Mahoney, P.C. and Bardia Moayedi led the Snell & Wilmer team advising NEA. The diverse team included Sarah Hibbard, Monique Torres, and Christopher Franich.
