Tax Associate

Snell & Wilmer seeks to hire an associate with one to three years of general corporate tax experience to join our Tax practice group, preferably to be located in our Phoenix office, although a remote working arrangement will also be considered. The ideal candidate will have experience with community development and renewable energy tax credits and Opportunity Zone transactions, and will also have some experience in transactional tax practice, including the taxation and structuring of corporate and partnership business transactions, and drafting and negotiating tax-related provisions in transaction documents. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and writing skills.  An LL.M. in tax is required.

This is a full-time, partnership-track position that is eligible to participate in the firm’s benefit plans, including our 401K Profit Sharing and Savings Plan with discretionary employer contribution, and is eligible for consideration for annual discretionary bonuses. The annual base salary range for candidates placed in Colorado is expected to be $180,000-$205,000, depending on experience. The annual base salary range for candidates placed in California is expected to be $210,000-$225,000, depending on experience.

Snell & Wilmer seeks to hire an associate with at least four years of sophisticated corporate law practice experience with a focus on startup formation, venture capital financing, and emerging company representation to join its Corporate and Securities practice group in California. The ideal candidate will have experience managing venture capital deal execution and supervising/training more junior attorneys.  Strong academic credentials and excellent writing skills required, as is admission to practice law in California. The selected candidate will work in our Los Angeles, Orange County, Palo Alto, or San Diego office.

The ideal candidate will have overall litigation case management experience, including drafting and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, and handling discovery, as they will join our active trial team. Strong academic credentials and excellent writing skills are required, as is admission to practice law in California.

Commercial Finance Associate

Snell & Wilmer seeks an associate with 3-5 years of experience to join its Commercial Finance practice group in Dallas, Denver or Phoenix.  The ideal candidate will have experience with the due diligence, documentation, negotiation, and closing of sophisticated lending transactions, including with respect to real estate, commercial, securities, and/or asset-backed loans.  In addition, experience in tax-advantaged finance (including low income housing tax credit, historic and new market credits, and/or alternative energy) or structured finance (including CMBS and securitizations) would be a plus.  Strong academic credentials and excellent writing skills are required, as is admission to practice law in Texas, Colorado or Arizona.

Commercial/Financial Services Litigation Attorney

Albuquerque

Snell & Wilmer seeks an attorney on a non-partnership track, with at least three years of experience in commercial litigation to assist with financial services litigation cases in multiple jurisdictions from our Albuquerque office.  Staff attorneys will be required to work exclusively for the firm.  Compensation will be set based upon level of experience and agreed upon commitment with the opportunity for periodic bonuses. In addition to base compensation, the attorney may be eligible for medical benefits, depending on schedule.  Work arrangements would be determined mutually, with reduced-hour and telecommuting flexibility. Successful applicants will be expected to research and draft motions, handle written discovery, take and defend depositions, argue motions, appear in court proceedings, and attend settlement conferences and mediations.  The ideal candidate will have experience in financial services litigation, including mortgage litigation.  New Mexico bar required.  Bar membership elsewhere a plus.
