Antonio K. Kizzie, Esq. Named 2024 Recipient of the John M. Langston Bar Association’s Langston President’s Award

LOS ANGELES –  Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Antonio K. Kizzie, Esq. received the 2024 John M. Langston Bar Association’s President’s Award for community service programs he organized and performed in his capacity as the 2023 Langston Outreach & Community Action (OCA) Co-Chair. 

The Langston OCA Committee’s goal is to execute programs focused on increasing the student-to-professional pipeline, as well as to provide pro bono services to the underserved public. They also conduct regular activities at local middle schools and high schools which expose students to life skills, career development, college preparation, and cultural experiences.

In Kizzie’s capacity as the 2023 OCA Co-Chair, he conducted over a dozen events throughout the Greater Los Angeles Area. His contributions included coordinating and organizing a free legal clinic and “Know Your Rights” seminar in Inglewood at the Rogers Park Community Center, activities where the Langston Bar Association planted trees in urban areas with TreePeople, packing food at the Los Angeles Food Bank, and cooking and serving breakfast to unhoused women at the Downtown Women’s Center. 

As OCA Co-Chair, Kizzie also spoke to junior and senior high school students on several occasions, about career opportunities in the legal field. Additionally, he has spoken to law students on his personal experiences as a diverse lawyer. 

Kizzie will continue to serve as the Langston OCA Committee Chair in 2024, where he plans to further his contributions to the community by participating in similar events and more.
